Terms & Refund Policy
Last updated: 26 July 2026
These terms cover your use of the TextTray macOS application and this website. TextTray is made by Rovag. By using the app, you agree to what follows.
Your licence
Buying TextTray gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Macs you own or control. It's a one-time purchase, not a subscription: there is no recurring charge and the version you bought keeps working.
You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or republish the app, or attempt to defeat its licensing.
Your data is yours
Your library file belongs to you. It's a plain file on your own disk in a documented format, and nothing about the licence changes that — including if your licence lapses or you stop using the app.
Refunds
Fourteen days, no questions asked. If TextTray isn't what you expected, email within 14 days of purchase and you'll get a full refund. You don't need to justify the request.
Refunds are issued through the payment provider that handled the original purchase, back to the original payment method, and typically take a few business days to appear. Where local consumer law grants you stronger rights than this policy, those rights apply.
Updates and support
Updates are distributed through the app's built-in updater. Support is by email, offered on a best-effort basis by a small independent developer — expect a human reply, not a same-day SLA.
Beta software
If you take part in the private beta, you're using pre-release software that may contain defects. Keep your own backup of any library file that matters to you.
Warranty and liability
TextTray is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rovag's total liability arising from the app or these terms is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated; the “last updated” date above will change when they are. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
